In 2013, Providence provided nearly $59.2 million in uncompensated care for the residents of Thurston, Lewis, Mason, Grays Harbor and Pacific counties. This investment includes $23.3 million in free and reduced care for those in need and $25 million to pay for the cost of underfunded govement programs such as Medicaid.We're also proud to be a “Magnet®†recognized hospital. We received our first designation in 2010 and are pleased to announce that we were re-designated for this award in February of 2015. The Magnet Recognition Program® recognizes the top health care organizations in the nation for providing nursing excellence.
